[#50]

Iron Maiden

  • The Number of the Beast UMD

[Note: Leave it to Iron Maiden to be the first metal band to appear on a game system. In this case the Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP). ]

    Nargothrond

    [#51]

  • Moria flyer

[Note: He he he... wow, did you read that?
Where to begin... I wonder if the 'deranged bass player Sergio' is the one flipping us off with his tongue hanging out? The photographer said 'OK guys, give me your evil-est look' and 'Sergio' said 'Yaaaaaaaaaaaa...']

  • Seven That Spells

    [#52]

  • CDs/flyers

[Note: This is a sort of strange, ambient project from Croatia. They are self-described as a: 'Modern, aggressive psychedelic wall of sound incorporating polymetrics and occasional Viking funeral rites; hailing from the 23rd century where rock is dead, Seven That Spells returned in time where its still possible to change the tragic course of the boring history.'
Hmmm... I wonder if they would loan me their time machine?]

[Above: I love the name of the tour! haha]

    War Doctrine

    [#53]

  • Flyer

[Note: Never heard of this... not even sure if the band is called 'War' or 'War Doctrine.']

Embrace the Hate Vol. 2/Acheron/Absu/Vital Remains/Order from Chaos live

    [#54]

  • V H S (2)

[Note: Pretty cool bootlegs/fan recordings released in hard clamshell cases.]

    Judas Iscariot

    [#55]

  • Cassette with song contribution to Mourning the Ancient film

[Note: While a track was contributed for our film, for one reason or another we never used it.
I'm not sure what became of it, whether he ended up releasing it or not.]

    Metal Blade

    [#56]

  • X-mas cards/CD razor

    [Note: Strange huh?
Yuletide greetings from Metal Blade... in case you're wondering, that strange black thing in the middle is used to cut open the cellophane of CDs. ]

    Vondur

    [#57]

  • Stridsyfirlysing Flyer

[Note: Here's something you don't see often... black metal and Darth Vader!?
Another side-project from the very strange Abruptum guys...]

[Below: Here is a Necropolis Stridsyfirlysing promo from 1995]

[Below: Here is another flyer I received with Darth Vader... very strange and very stupid!]

    blackmetal.com/Red Candle Records

    [#58]

  • Stickers/pens

    [Note: ...]

    Acheron

    [#59]

  • Flyer/Letter/Business Card

[Note: I found it kinda strange, if you know of Vincent Crowley of Acheron, you know that almost everything he does is over-the-top, yet his business card is rather subdued...
hmmm... a mystery for the ages! ]

    The Stendahl Syndrome

    [#60]

  • Japanese Laserdisc

[Note: Another Italian master of horror, Dario Argento. This one stars his daughter, Asia Argento.
One of his best. It was contoversial at the time because he was the director of his daughter during a 'rape' scene.]

[Below: Asia went on to appear in glamorous magazines like 'Genesis' (apparently this magazine took stills from one of her films and then marketed it as if she was posing for their magazine).]

  • Letter

    [#61]

[Note: Here's something that gave me a laugh.
This is a letter from Germany ordering our two photo CDs, except the paper used was a gun target.
Now, if he just ran out of paper and a gun target was the nearest thing to write on, that is extra cool. Either way, it's a cool/funny idea.]

    Death

    [#62]

  • The Sound of Perseverence Stickers

[Note: I never could get into the newer Death after Chuck changed his vocal style... RIP.]

[Below: Old flyer advertising a show during the masterful Spiritual Healing release.]

  • Letter #6

    [#63]

[Note: Here's another example of a handful of letters we received back in 1998/99 after Mourning the Ancient images were mistakenly published in a 'zine of the day, The Grimoire. To see a scan and read a little bit more about it click here.

Speaking of 'Death' I got a letter from him back in 1999! Ha ha... It turns out 'Death' lives in Ohio and is a Nazi skinhead!
