Germany's International Mail Service

[#532]

  • Packages - To and From

[Note: Germany, I love your country, adore your past, admire your invincible spirit, but fucking hate your postal service! Before you are pictures of two packages. One sent from a friend in Germany, the other sent from the USA to Germany. First, the latter. It cost me sixty some dollars to send the package (it contained some CDs, shirts and the like), and lo and behold, months and months later it gets sent back because the customs form wasn't properly itemized! So they claim. So after opening it and searching its contents - they informed the intended recipient that we would have to send another form itemizing the contents, or else it would be sent back. Well, after doing just that, they go ahead and send it back anyway! Arghhh... costing them sixty some dollars additionally!]

    [Above: 'REFUSED'!

[Above: Like an American is supposed to be able to read that?!]

[Above: If you didn't like what that one said, why did you put it on?!]

[Above: Now we're up to almost $130.00, plus I have to resend it for another 60 something, thus almost $200.00 wasted. More than the value of the contents, that's for sure.]

    ___________________________________________

[Note: Next, the package sent to us from Germany. This package was beaten half to death by the time it arrived to us. It was even intercepted in TAIWAN, opened and repackaged. The USA postal system bagged it again and offered a lovely, heartfelt apology.]

    __________________________________

[Above: A not-so-ironic find... note the part 'Somber Rex refuses to take responsibility for the criminal greed of the German post'... be warned Deutsch post, we're on to you!]

    Altar

    [#533]

  • Youth Against Christ Flyer

[Note: 'This CD will for sure change your opinion about brutality'... as if they aren't preaching to the choir! I mean, who did they intend this flyer to reach - hip hop fans?!]

    Andrew Dice Clay

    [#533]

  • Sticker

[Note: Why in god's green hell would this be circulated in the metal underground? I wish I could send it back. He's a nerdy Jewish loser acting like an Italian tough guy.]

    [#534]

  • Letter #13

[Note: Here's another example of a handful of letters we received back in 1998/99 after Mourning the Ancient images were mistakenly published in a 'zine of the day, The Grimoire. To see a scan and read a little bit more about it click here.

'Groimoire' eh? This letter, I'm presuming sent from Opera IX headquarters, gives a glowing complement: that the MTA photos 'seemed likeable...' And since when are reading and horror movies 'mystical'?

    Impaler of Trendies Productions

    [#535]

  • Flyer

[Note: 'Metal, bulletbelt, beer worship, sex violence, terrorism, pain, hellbanging, spikes, noiZe and darkness.' It's funny how bands and labels no longer advertise 'terrorism' or being 'terrorists' since 9/11. I guess 'beer worship' will always be safe though! Also ironic, that in our metal culture it is totally normal to refer to the world as 'this filthy world' and no one thinks twice. But can you imagine if pop music described their stuff this way?! "The new Justin Bieber album that will totally destroy this filthy world!" HAHA!]

    Cold Meat Industry

    [#537]

  • Poster

[Note: I wonder if the meat-packing dude pictured here ever realized he would be the mascot of a dark-ambient record label? ...hmmm... Yeah, probably!]

    Atrocious Bloom Zine

    [#536]

  • Flyer

[Note: This wins the contest as the most fucked-up, ugly and unreadable flyer ever! Check out the drunken cut-out job! Surprised there isn't blood all over it from where the crazy bastard who cut this sliced off a finger.]

    Full Moon Productions

    [#537]

  • Flyer

[Note: Fuck off to all you leech bastards.]

    Card

    [#538]

  • Envelope/Card/Stamps

[Note: A strange piece of knowledge via the post office... have you heard of this mummy DNA thing?]

    [Above: Card inside]

[Above: Stamps on back of envelope. The first stamp 'October 23, 1956' is the date of the Hungarian uprising against communist occupation. These brave patriots seemed to have freed their country... and then the communists came in force and killed nearly everyone involved.]

[Above: Here's a still of an article on the subject. Below is a transcript of some of the article...]

'Despite the refusal of the Secretary General of the Egyptian Supreme Council of Antiquities, Zahi Hawass, to release any DNA results which might indicate the racial ancestry of Pharaoh Tutankhamen, the leaked results reveal that King Tut's DNA is a 99.6 percent match with Western European Y chromosomes.
The DNA test results were inadvertently revealed in a Discovery Channel TV documentary filmed with Hawass's permission...'

    WE WUZ KANGS!!!!

[Above & below: Here are some anti-communist stamps from Lithuania.]

[Above: Here is an anti-communist stamp from Croatia.]

[Above: Here is a stamp from Croatia remembering the genocide of Croatians after WWII. 'Bleiburg' was the beginning of the inhuman massacre. Hundreds of thousands of innocent men, women and children murdered by communists, all with British consent. Look up the word 'Bleiburg' and learn about who the true evil ones of WWII really were.]

[Above: Here is another 'Bleiburg' stamp from Croatia.]

    Phoetus 'Zine

    [#539]

  • Flyer

[Note: I especially like the mail bomb invitation...]

    Stargee Produktions

    [#540]

  • Flyer

[Note: What a bland flyer advertising artwork productions, yet itself having none...]

    [An equally interesting back...]
