[Page Twenty Seven]

  • Flyer

[Note: 'Are you sick enough to eat my shit?' Is there something here that didn't translate well into English?]

  • Letter #10

[Note: Here's another example of a handful of letters we received back in 1998/99 after Mourning the Ancient images were mistakenly published in a 'zine of the day, The Grimoire. To see a scan and read a little bit more about it click here.

Art on Hankerchiefs? Hmm... This guy has stabbed lots of people. I wonder if they let him work in the kitchen?
Strangely, he is the most normal sounding of all of the Grimoire letters!]

  • Cassettes/envelope

[Note: This is a pretty old (and good) black metal band from Sweden. I think I even listened to them before I did Mourning the Ancient.]

  • Poster

[Note: This band started out in 1990. In the late 1990s a person we knew locally knew a few of these guys and took a trip to Sweden, where he sat down with a tape recorder and interviewed them for us. Pretty cool eh? He also told us some pretty wild and disturbing stories of his time partying with the band.]

  • Sticker

[Note: These are German political stickers.
The one in the middle rightfully declares that Germany should get out of Afganistan and no more blood should be shed for the USA. Cool graphic.]

[Above: Advertisement for another German political party. I think you can get their meaning!]

  • Flyer/Picture

[Note: 'No room for trendy make-up wearing faggots!' These guys below are like "What do you suppose they mean by that?!" HAHAHA!!]

    [Above: The band 'The Kovenant'...]

[Above: Another juicy one from The Kovenant...]

    Petrified 'Zine

  • Flyer

[Note: This was a cool 'zine with great interviews.]

    Mark Riddick Art Exhibition

  • Flyer

[Note: This was an art exhibition from one of the brothers from ...the Soil Bleeds Black. For the life of me I can't figure out what it is?]

    Prison Art

  • Envelope

[Note: Here is another prison art envelope for you...]

  • Glossy band promo photo

[Note: I'm not sure, but I think this is an anti-Christian, Satanic band. They definitely look hardcore and evil don't ya think?
...HAHAHA! (Psst... they are a hardcore Christian band).]

    Sorrow Bequest

  • Flyer/demo cassette

[Note: This death metal band was from North Carolina and was active from 1995-1999. During that time they released two demos.]
