At a Serbians women's rally the German ambassador Dr. Neubacher spoke about Germany's role in the Balkans. The Reich, which sees its functions as a patron,
will withdraw its troops from Serbia, Neubacher declared, as soon as the military situation allows. Supported by Germany, the national activism of the Balkan peoples in the service of the common European cause is making ever greater progress.
Yesterday, the "Völkischer Beobachter" was able to report, following a press conference report, that there are already large contigents of Muslim volunteers from Bosnia and Herzegovina in the ranks of the Waffen-SS.
Here they form their own mountain division. Their superiors are officers of their own ethnicity and faith and the units are accompanied by their own Mohammedan clergy.'
