[Page One Hundred and Fifty-Three]
Komrad Ivan
[#1061]
I'm not sure exactly what year this came out, but sometime during the Cold War.
[Below:
This word seems to be made-up. And why the hell does he say 'OPS', do they mean 'OOPS'?
[Below: 'MONSTE'LL'??? Is this supposed to mean 'MONSTER WILL'? Very odd lingo. Search engines can't even find it. The American Army's lame attempt to be cool, I guess.]
[Below: Is this how the idiots who wrote this book thought Russians talked? They were probably trying to speak the language of the young men they drafted. 'SLOOPY SLOVACK'S'?.]
Haunted Houses
[#1062]
Do countries other than the United States have haunted houses during the Halloween season? I'm not sure. I know a lot of countries use Halloween as a day to remember their dead. Haunted houses were sometimes fun when I was a kid, but I can't imagine going to them as an adult. When I was a young teen I volunteered with some friends to work at one. It was actually very fun. Although we screwed around more than anything.

[Below: Front. Who are these 'horror celebrities'??? Oh I see, beside their mugshots are the movies they were in. Although this Robert Mukes guy just shows him in a bear skin. But I don't care anyway, as I don't like any of these new horror movies.]

George Corpsegrinder
[#1063]
This is the vocalist for the death metal band Cannibal Corpse, his stage name is Corpsegrinder. Apparently he's been donating the plushies he wins to children's hospitals and other charities. But what's most surprising is how the hell he wins anything from those claw machines. He is said to be an expert.
German Police
[#1064]
Hahaha! Now we've seen everything. Clown world indeed. What's the saying... "That which is old shall replace that which is new..." I wonder if these stabbing all over Germany are from the peaceful migrants they are flooding the country with?
[Below: Maybe German police should upgrade to this 19th century Russian bear hunting armor?]
[Below: The hell with it, German police should just go full Hellraiser and scare the migrants!]

Death and the Sun
[#1065]
Here is a unique interview I did in 2024 for a 'zine released late the same year. I didn't know where the interviewer was from exactly, but knew it was somewhere in Europe. He seemed like a cool, down-to-earth guy, so I was happy to share my thoughts. An interesting 'zine it would be!
First, his location: Åland
99.99999% of you reading this are puzzled hearing this, and I personally knew nothing of the place, beyond the name (it was only vaguely familiar from postage stamp collecting). Geography is fairly interesting to me, so I love to stumble across countries that I've never heard from before, and Åland is quite an interesting little place. Here are some interesting facts:
'Åland is an autonomous and demilitarised region of Finland. Receiving its autonomy by a 1920 decision of the League of Nations, it is the smallest region of Finland by both area (1,580 km2) and population (30,129)... Its only official language is Swedish and the capital city is Mariehamn...
Åland's landmass occupies a total area of 1,527 square kilometres (589+1/2 sq mi). Ninety percent of the population live on Fasta Åland, which is also the site of the capital town of Mariehamn...
Because of the condition of neutrality under the 1921 Convention, the islanders enjoyed safety at sea during World War II, as their merchant fleet sailed both for the Allied countries and for Nazi Germany. Consequently, Åland shipping was not generally attacked, as the various military forces rarely knew which cargo was being carried or to whom.
Åland has its own flag and has issued its own postage stamps since 1984...'
Very intriguing bit regarding WWII. I wonder if there are any history books on their exact role in the war? Probably not in English. I love learning everything I can about the war and it is such a vast subject that you can spend your whole life learning but will always learn something new. There is a reason that there were more books written about WWII than any other subject in the history of man. Too bad many of those books are lies. The victors write the history books. But enough about the war...
Let's look below...
[Below: The tattered postage stamp of the above package. This is a common occurance these days, luckily I don't collect anything modern. And luckily the post office used to take care not to damage mail in the past, but these days...]

[Below: Flyer of 'Veriyhteys' compiliation. I must say Finland has produced some of the best and most unique music in the scene - Beherit, Barathrum, etc...]
[Below: Reverse of flyer - a band called 'Vapaudenristi', which means 'Cross of Liberty'. I listened to this band online for a second and it sounds like catchy RAC.]
[Below: Veriyhteys CD cover]
[Below: This odd sticker says 'Tillsammans (Swedish for 'Together'). This uses an Italian WWII poster... May 7, 1945 is the day Germany surrendered to the bloodsoaked tyranny of the Allies. 14:88 is something that becomes more real everyday and is a quote from Mein Kampf popularized by the great martyr David Lane.]
[Below: The poster in question.]
[Below: Another odd sticker, I've seen this before on the internet, not sure who made it or for what purpose, but the Black Sun is always nice.]
