[Below: Here is a strange one. An American envelope canceled on April 16, 1941 and sent to a soldier's Feldpost address, from a New Jersey address, yet the return address on the front is of a P.O.W. Stalag camp. It says 'H.G. Albrecht', which is the name of the soldier this is sent to it seems. This is rather odd, because it reveals his location. Front.]

[Below: Here is another piece of mail to the soldier above, yet sent nine years before the war. This postcard, from a cool-sounding place called Dark Harbor, was canceled on August 19, 1930 and sent to Germany. Front.]

[Below: Here is a postcard sent
January 15, 1940, to Lörrach, Germany. I like the 'Germany!' with an exclamation mark... note the eagle and swastika censor stamp. It says 'Geprüft' (examined) and 'Oberkommando der Wehrmacht' (High Command of the Armed Forces).]
[Below: Postcard reverse. It says:
'Meine Lieben,
(My dears,
Consider yourselves healthy, which I can also say about myself. Also last week I remained without news from you, but today I received 2 letters from Klärli. In one of them she also told me about her Christmas, which of course made me very happy. Kl. writes very nice and long letters, but unfortunately everything goes as usual here. Perhaps we will receive a visit from Blanche and Arthur, who will stop here on their way home from Florida. I should be very interested to know whether you have received the guarantee from Blanche, and also the other two through B.? There is so much mail being lost at the moment that you have to repeat yourself with every letter. I hope I don't get on your nerves with these repeated questions.)
