Obituary Condolences
WOODSTOCK - G. Werner Fritsch, 78, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2009, in Woodstock.
He was born April 19, 1930, in Youngstown, Ohio, to the Rev. Ludwig Adolphus Fritsch, O.J.S., D.D., Ph.D., and Baroness Edith Gerlinde Brosig von Schwartzwasse. He married Dolores "Dee" Huelskamp on Oct. 3, 1981, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Arlington Heights.
He was very active in the church and was a founding member of the Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Arlington Heights. He was a retired accountant of Illinois Bell Telephone Co. and was a member of their Comptrollers Club. He enjoyed model railroads and was a member of the Nation Model Railroad Association.
He is survived by his wife, Dolores; two sons, William (Colleen) Fritsch and Frederick (Melissa) Fritsch; a daughter, Linda Marie Fritsch; two grandchildren, Meredith and Katherine Fritsch; an honorary grandson, Nick O'Connor; a niece, Denise Huelskamp; and a nephew, Mark Fritsch.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Holdie and Wilfred "Doc" Fritsch; his brother-in-law, Kermit Huelskamp; his sister-in-law, Grace Fritsch; and his nephew, William Huelskamp.
The visitation will be from 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, until the funeral at 11 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 1300 Kishwaukee Valley Road, Woodstock. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights.
