Impaled Nazarene

Sadogoat
[Osmose Productions]

-Format -Seven inch-

This is the first EP released by Osmose Productions (in 1993). On the back it says it's a limited edition of 1000 copies though the band's website lists this as a 1200 copies release. The songs are 'Ghost Riders' and 'Sadogoat'.

    [Osmose Productions]

    -Format-Seven inch-

Also a 1993 Osmose Productions EP, I have to wonder how rare it is, since the band's website lists it as still available. The tracks are: 'Satanic Masowhore' and an (uncredited) Extreme Noise Terror cover, 'Conned Thru Life' (Diabolic Penis Mix).

    Taog Eht Fo Htoa Eht
    [BOOTLEG]

    -Format-Seven inch-

This is a Colombian bootleg with the demo 'Taog Eht Fo Htao Eht' (with Htao misspelled as Htoa). It is handnumbered and limited to 666 copies. It's interesting that on the vinyl's matrix the name J.J.Trujillo is written, and the inside of the cardboard sleeve is printed - the cardboard was probably re-used from boxes (or something) of some Colombian computer store or company called Unimática. How bootleg can you be. The sound is pretty bad and the back cover has a bad quality reproduction of a photo occasionally seen in Black Metal releases etc. of a naked girl lying down inside a pentagram. Curiously, at Impaled Nazarene's website the back cover of this bootleg is shown with the photo upside down, unlike in the one I have. Were two versions made?? Tracklist: 'Nuctemeron of Necromanteion', 'Condemned to Hell', 'Impurity of Dawn', 'The Crucified', 'Ave Satanas!', 'In the Name of Satan', 'Fall to Fornication', 'Damnation (Raping the Angels)'.

  • Arcturus

    My Angel
    [Putrefaction Records]

    -Format-Seven inch-

This is Arcturus' first demo, released as a 7" in 1991 by the French label Putrefaction Records in a limited edition of 1100 copies. There are three different versions of the cover colour: green, yellow and blue. I read somewhere that the cover artwork is by Snorre. It features two songs: 'My Angel' and 'Morax'. This EP was included in the 'True Kings of Norway' compilation a couple of years ago, but for some reason on that CD they altered the outro of 'Morax', adding some rhythmic, off beat weird sounds that spoil it for me.

    My Angel
    [Black Hearts Records-BOOTLEG]

    -Format-Seven inch-

This is a bootleg version of the original Putrefaction Records 7"EP, released by a label called Black Hearts Records. Although the cover is in black and white, the vinyl is coloured, and there are at least four versions: green, red, blue and black.

  • Mortem

    Slow Death
    [Putrefaction Records]

    -Format-Seven inch-

This 1987 EP is the only release of Mortem, a grind death/thrash band which would later become Arcturus (the line-up is the same as the 'My Angel' EP). Before this 7", Slow Death was released on tape with a different artwork. Tracklist: 'Intro', 'Mutilated Corpse', 'Milena', 'Slow Death', 'Agonized To Suicide', 'Nightmare'.

  • Morbid God

    Serpent Angel
    [DEMO]

    -Format-Cassette-

This promo-track was the only release by Moonspell before changing their name from Morbid God. This song was also featured in the Double LP compilation of Portuguese Metal called 'The Birth of a Tragedy', released by MTM Records in 1992 (same year as this tape).

    -Format-Cassette-

This is Moonspell's debut demo and it was released in 1993 featuring the tracks: 'Intro', 'Goat on Fire', 'Ancient Winter Goddess', 'Wolves From the Fog', 'Outro'. It was later released by the Polish label Mad Lion Records with a different cover.

    [Molon Lave]

    -Format-Seven inch-

This 1993 EP features two tracks taken from Moonspell's demo 'Anno Satanae', which are 'Goat on Fire' and 'Wolves from the Fog' (the vinyl labels mistakenly list 'Goat on Fire' both on side A and side B). The EP is in red transparent vinyl just like Vorphalack's 'Under the Sight of Dragon'.

    No Canonization
    [Thrash Records]

    -Format-Seven inch-

This is an EP by a band featuring Matti, later Dismember's vocalist, released by the French label Thrash Records (same label that released OLD FUNERAL's first 7" EP). 'No Canonization', 'Statues', 'Au-to-dafe'.

  • Sadist

    Black Screams
    [Obscure Plasma]

    -Format-Seven inch-

This 1991 EP was the first release by the Italian band Sadist, having also been released the following year by Wild Rags Records in cassette format. Sadist's drummer was Peso of cult eighties band Necrodeath (the connection to Necrodeath is obvious from the logo). The songs here are 'Black Screams' and 'Dreaming Deformities'.

    Untitled
    [Hard Blast Records]

    -Format-Seven inch-

Like Sadist, this is an Italian band featuring Peso of Necrodeath on drums. This is an untitled EP, though I have seen it referred to as "Gore" in Peso's discography. It was released in 1994 and the tracks are: 'Gore (Blood of War)' and 'Genious Fall'.

    Det Glemte Riket

    -Format-Seven inch-

This is Ancient's only 7" EP, released in 1994, apparently by the band themselves (there is no reference to any record label). It was an edition of 1500 copies in black vinyl and 500 copies in blue vinyl.

    Raredaemonaeon
    [Bootleg]

    -Format-CD-

This bootleg, probably released in 2000, features the following material: 'Hell Awaits' (Slayer cover), 'Black Metal' (Venom cover), 'Hallowed be thy Name (Shallow be my Grave)' (Iron Maiden cover), 'Sodomy and Lust' (Sodom cover). Then, recorded live at London's Astoria 5/6/98, 'Dusk and Her Embrace', 'Beneath the Howling Stars', 'Cruelty Brought Three Orchids', 'Malice Throughh the Looking Glass'(misspelled). Then, listed as an unreleased studio track, 'Carmilla's Masque'. Following that, their 'Total Fucking Darkness' demo '92 (which I believe was actually released in 1993), whose tracks are: 'The Black Goddess Rises', 'Unbridled At Dusk' (here misspelled as 'Unbodied of Dusk'), 'The Raping Of Faith', 'As Deep As Any Burial', 'Fraternally Yours', '666 (outro)'. Finally, a very small track called 'Last Words by Dani' (just a few swearwords).
