Burzum/Gorgoroth Split

Burzum/Gorgoroth Split [Bootleg]

Burzum/Gorgoroth Split

This is a bootleg that is limited to 500 hand # CDR's and contains Burzum demo 1991 and Burzum unreleased and re-mixed tracks with the Gorgoroth demo 1993 "A Sorcery Written In Blood.". The first 3 tracks are the Burzum demo tracks 1. Lost Wisdom 2. Spell of Destruction 3. Channeling.... (which says it's an "Unreleased" track) then the rest of Burzum tracks follow like this 4. A Lost Forgotten Sad Spirit (unreleased version) 5. A Lost Forgotten Sad Spirit (regular "Aske" version) 6. My Key to Purgatory (rough mix of "Key to the Gate) and 7. Lost Wisdom (rough mix). The first 3 tracks have totally awful sound for the demo '91 but the other 4 Burzum tracks have pretty good sound and the unreleased version of "A Lost Forgotten Sad Spirit" is really good! ...Onto the Gorgoroth part....this is a demo that I already had and having it on CD is nice but this is a very raw and harsh sounding demo and it contains live tracks. If you really like Gorgoroth and have never been able to find this demo on anyone's trade lists etc...this CD is for you. The track listing for Gorgoroth is 8. Gathered at Blakulla (intro) / Sexual Bloodgargling 9. (Under) the Pagan Megalith (Gorgoroth "Live in Germany") 10. Katharinas Vortgang 11. Crushing the Scepter (Regaining a Lost Dominion) 12. Ritual 13. Maancskuggens Slave ...Total running time for the CD is 69:33 and any fans of either band will want this for their collection I'm sure!

Godkiller "The End Of The World"

What the fuck happened to Godkiller!? This album sucks...no I'm sorry this album isn't even worthy to waste time to press!! First off it's not Black Metal at all, it's some kind of industrialized death metal, the vocals are horrible and the lyrics are moronic for the most part...even the art work sucks! I was so surprised when I heard this release...I was also very, very disapointed and very, very pissed off that I spent like $15 for this piece of shit release...I'm thinking of writing Wounded Love & Godkiller just to tell them how much this album sucks and how much of a rip off it is to buy it! The first track "The End Of The World" is the only track worth having a listen to...they should just erase the rest of the CD and sell it as a $4 single. I was going to send Godkiller an interview before I heard this CD, I'm so glad I did not, I would never support such crap! But the first MCD "Rebirth of the Middle Ages" is a CD worth picking up, just don't even think of wasting your cash on this new release!

Demoncy

Demoncy "Within The Sylvan Realms Of Frost"

Ahhh! Now this is a great recording indeed from America's DEMONCY! This release is not actually out as of yet, but Ixithra of DEMONCY was very generous and sent me a CD-R of the release. The release consists of a full length unreleased recording from 1996 and two demos, one from 1994 and one from 1995. The release starts with a track entitled "Knighthood Of The Moonlit Realms", which starts with some soundscapes of keyboards for about 30 seconds and then the music starts with very raw like guitar sound and some what light drumming until the track reaches about 1 min. It then picks up some when the vocals kick in...this track is very raw like the whole recording really. What's great about this opening track is that it's just like a small taste of what the album holds overall, it's almost like an intro into getting to know what DEMONCY is like and it is a pretty good track as well. The whole album as I said is very raw, it's also very chaotic and very grim, especially with the vocals.
Keyboards exist here and there throughout the recording, not over done at all and even they stay on a pretty grim level with the music. Also track #4 "Within The Sylvan Realms Of Frost" contains a small part of acoustic guitar as well which is very cool! I'd certainly have to say that DEMONCY holds a place, in my opinion, as one of the truly worthy BM acts from America, there is no doubt about that at all I think. This is music that really holds a pure essence of what BM is, and in the US there seems to be a lack of this essence.
The whole CD has 13 tracks and a total play time of 73:55. Past releases from DEMONCY are really hard to find because they were all limited releases, I tried to get their first release for a long time and still have been unsuccessful. Hopefully this release will be more spread as DEMONCY certainly deserve to spread the knowledge of their existence (they were actually formed a long time ago as well). According to Ixithra, Baphomet Records may also be releasing an unreleased full length recording from 1997 entitled "Joined In Darkness" shortly after this So It Is Done release. DEMONCY are also planning on doing a new recording of all new material this fall which will be entitled "Risen From The Ancient Ruins". So be on the watch for all these releases!

Marduk-Panzer Division Marduk

Marduk

Marduk "Panzer Division Marduk"

The newest offering from the mighty MARDUK- "Panzer Division Marduk"...and what a totally incredible/insane release this is!!! Damn, I have to say it certainly tops "Nightwing" in all areas! This release is very, very chaotic, very well played, excellent guitar work and it seems more technical guitar work then on "Nightwing", fucking incredible vocals, and blasting drum beats.....you just can't dislike this release, it's impossible! You get 8 tracks on this new release; titles are "Panzer Division Marduk", "Baptism By Fire", "Christraping Black Metal", "Scorched Earth", "Beast of Prey", "Blooddawn", "502", and "Fistfucking God's Planet". Total running time is 30:04...and again this is an excellent release, insane, if you like Marduk you will not be pissed off about this release at all!

Thirdmoon-Aquis Submersus

Thirdmoon

Thirdmoon "Aquis Submersus"

Thirdmoon's second release (no longer signed to Austria's CCP Records) now on Austria's NAPALM RECORDS. This CD I cannot compare to their first release entitled "Grotesque Autumnal Weeping" because I have been unable to get that release for over a year now, but songs here and there can be found on some comps from that release. Anyway, this new Thirdmoon has a new member Wolfgang Rothbauer (vocals & lead guitar) and the music I think has changed some from the last album. This release is like a cross between Death/Black/Doom it seems, where the music is a cross of Death/Black and the lyrics are more of a Doom setting where most of the vocals are not of a growling but more clean. The release has some parts I wasn't so impressed with but also I have to say this is a pretty good release all in all, and if you like technical guitar riffs and pretty well structured songs (who doesn't?) then I think you will be pretty happy with this new Thirdmoon. I like it quite a bit, it is not Black Metal though, there is a lot of different genres in the music of Thirdmoon and I think they play their instruments quite well! You get 9 regular tracks and 2 bonus tracks for a total of 11 tracks and total play time is 50:12.
